Wisdom....

March 26th 2017

My entry for this months Blog Challenge at Some Odd Girl with a theme of "Pop it Up!" - LOL I've "popped" the owl digi up with 2 layers of mounting tape!

Base card is a 6 x 4 index card I added blobs of water colour paint to, spritzed with water and used my brayer to spread and blend it all out over the card. Then added coloured texture paste through a leaf stencil along with a scrap of hessian, some feathers and "wisdom" word. Owl whoch was coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut was mounted onto everything!!

You can find this gorgeous digi at the Some Odd Girl Store along with all their other great range of digis and stamps!

Caroline's Cupcakes...

March 25th 2017

Sharing my DT creations for this week for Vera Lane Studio with the new release set "Caroline's Cupcakes"!

Firstly I have altered an index card and renamed Caroline "Violet Beauregarde" from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - LOL this one was so much fun to colour in these hues with my pastel pencils! Index card background is watercolour paints plus coloured texture paste through a stencil. Image was fussy cut and added with a piece of ink sprayed muslin cloth along with the computer generated wording!

My next altered index card has more traditional colours - PINK - of course!! Background is ink sprays, texture paste, stencil, paint, tissue paper and washi tape. I added the "sweet" letters to the top. Such a fun set to create with for this week.

Make sure you pop over to the Vera Lane Studio Store to grab your set and check out all the amazing digis available for you to create with!

Background is ink sprays plus some of the cute little flower stamps that come with the set too and some paper flowers in the top corner. I "drew" a border with black pen and added the "grin" sticker letters for a bit of fun because they all do look like they are grinning!!!

Make sure you visit all the blogs on the hop to qualify to win your own Day of the Dead Sugar Skulls stamp set!!! Leave us all some positive comments and make sure you leave some love at the Sin city Blog too!! good luck, have fun and hope you get some inspiration from our creations!

Imagination....

March 16th 2017

I made this altered index card for the 4 Legged Friends Facebook challenge at the Gecko Galz Group last month - I'm very slow showing my creations here at my blog!! Main image is from an Easter Collage Sheet by Gecko Galz.

Index card was covered with torn pieces of old book pages, added some white & yellow paint along with other bits & pieces like a paint chip sample in yellows, scrap of paper doily, cloth and some nesty type bits and pieces! Added some photo corner stickers and stars to finish it off along with the "imagination" word!

Take us to your Leader.....

More Vera Lane Studio inspiration for my DT creation this week! Using digis from the "Lost in Space" Set which was released at the beginning of the week!

I painted black gesso over a double tag then added some medium through a stencil and added some ink spray - it doesn't show up so well in the photo as it's only subtle. Edged the tags with purple Smooch. Wording is computer generated and I added some green gems around the wording to finish off. Aliens were coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut and I used mounting tape to adhere them to the tag background. This digi set is soooo much fun to create with!

Masterboard Madness.....

Pop over to the Sin City Stamps Blog - it's my turn to share my latest creations using Sin City Stamps!! I used the stamps to decorate my painted card and use as backgrounds for the ATC's for the pockets of the sleeves!!

Collage images are from Lisa's Altered Art and are just perfect for decorating ATC's along with other little embellies you have in your stash!

And did you know that there is now a Sin City Stamps Fan Group - lots of fun and sharing of creations - make sure you join to stay updated with all the goings on!!!!!

My Favourite Martian....

March 8th 2017

A fabulous **NEW** digi set released at Vera Lane Studio this week "Lost in Space" - OMG for a sci-fi fan this is an amazing set to create with - I've made several things with images from this set but for today I am sharing "My Favourite Martian" Mixed Media Journal Page!!

I made the background with my Gelli Plate, acrylic paints and a stencil plus some posca pens for adding the white "doodling" - so I am entering this page in the current "Simon Says: Make Your Own Background" Challenge at the blog!!!! And also entering in the current Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers "G is for Green with Envy" (use predominant green colour!!) - LOL love their challenges!!!!

As you can see I added "Hayes" - also available from Vera Lane Studio to the flying saucer from the new set - gave him some antennae and called him "Uncle Martin" from the old TV Series LOL!!! Digi stamps are coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut. Added some muslin cloth to sort of look like the "exhaust" from the spaceship and added computer generated wording - LOVE this page in all it's green martian glory!!

Hippity Hop....

March 4th 2017
My journal page for the March Challenge at the MHK Designs Blog - I used the inspiration photo as my starting point for this page.

Background patterned paper is from MHK Designs Etsy Store - and is from the "Worn & Weathered Pink" digital paper pack - I love the papers in this pack! the "vases" are from the digital stamp set "Pretty as a Pitcher" - I really love the vintage look and feel of these pitchers - I printed them on kraft coloured paper and fussy cut. The "bunny" collage images are from Gecko Galz and were perfect for completing this page along with some bits of raffia and cloth.

I'm also entering this in one of the March challenges at the Gecko Galz Facebook Group with a theme of "The Letter B"!!! I did "B" for "Bunnies" LOL!!

Save the Bees!!!

March 3rd 2017

Sharing a journal page for the January Progressive Challenge at the Bloobel Stamps Facebook Group! I created in my black page journal and used a collage image from Gecko Galz for the centre of the background and worked around it with texture paste and a stencil and ink sprays. Added a bit of washi tape as well. Image coloured with copics and fussy cut and the idea of the challenge was to add your own placard "protest" LOL!!! You can find a whole range of quirky images at the Bloobel Stamps website.
