Captain Hook!

April 28th 2016

Another creation for this month using the great Whimsical Pirate image available from SLS Lines  - always love the quirky images Sal draws up!

Created this page in my black journal. I added scraps of pirate themed digital paper from Retrobox Collection's Etsy Store - love the vintage feel of these papers. Also added some texture paste with stencils made on my Silhouette and ink sprays plus a few other embellies to finish it all off!

La Catrina...

April 27th 2016

Sharing a Karleigh Sue DT creation using the "La Catrina" image available at the "new" website Cheri has set up: CLICK HERE. You can find all the digis for purchase plus the new Mary Jane series - they are great you must check them out!

I'm not good at doing CAS as I always want to add things but tried to keep this relatively minimalistic by not adding too much LOL. Image printed on kraft coloured paper and fussy cut - I just coloured it basically with colour pencils. Background was the same image copied and pasted and a border added and then printed on white card. Added a scrap of muslin and a charm with some string to finish off.
More inspiration from the DT can be found at the Karleigh Sue Blog plus colouring fun at the Facebook Group.

Harry & Friends.....

April 25th 2016

New release time again for Sandra Caldwell at her Etsy Store - always love Mondays and waiting to see what images she will surprise us with! My new image for this week is sure to please lots of people - "#48 Harry and Friends" - don't they just look like the trio????

Coloured with Copics and colour pencils and it's a miracle I didn't fussy cut this image but chalked the background and used on a card - yes a change from a journal page LOL!!

And found the great Harry Potter digital papers and graphics on Etsy at "The Graphic Monster Store".

Remember you can find more inspiration with the new releases at Sandra's Facebook Group where we are always playing games, having competitions and challenges!!

Image coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut and added to the journal page which has patterned napkins as the background along with bits and pieces of scraps from my stash and scrabble tile letters plus a "courage" charm to finish it all off!

Early Halloween......

April 21st 2016

A fun "Halloween" challenge at the SLS Lines Blog for the next few weeks and yes you heard right a Halloween challenge in April/May LOL!!!

I've created this journal page with spiderweb stencil made from a Silhouette File with texture paste and shiny Lindy's Stamp Gang ink sprays - love the shimmer! And just love this quirky guy and his best mate available at the SLS Lines Etsy Store! and little witch's hats are from a Lisa's Altered Art Collage sheet - perfect for this challenge!

Doggie Dear!

April 18th 2016

Yes new release time yet again at Sandra Caldwell's Etsy Store!!!!! I've created with #40 Doggie Dear - perfect for me being a dog lover!

This is also an entry in our current Facebook challenge Round 2 - card square or circle, something torn and a ribbon - I've used Gecko Galz digital papers torn into strips for the background, may card is square and I've added a ribbon which is recycled from a chocolate Lindt bunny!!! I also added glitter glue to his antlers and Dimaond Glaze to his Rudolph Nose LOL (shows up best in the pic at the bottom of the post).

I need to pint out that I added a "button" over the top of Sandra's original image which has a "drawn" button - see pic below for the actual image:

April 17th 2016

An inspiration creation for Karleigh Sue Digis using "Hippie Love"!! I've used paint and texture paste with stencil and ink sprays for the background. Added heart "peace" symbol Silhouette file cut outs which have been ink sprayed to add as well as some little round coloured flat backed beads. Image coloured with Copic Markers and fussy cut.
